On-line Battery Monitor OMB
-The
On-Line Battery Monitor, OBM is a modular system that can monitor up to 256
cells and is ideal for monitoring
battery systems in substations and control cabinets. An economical way
to monitor just about any battery string.
This system
offers easy installation utilizing CAT5 in a "daisy-chain" configuration. Each
module will accurately measure 4 individual cells (or jars) and then connect to
the next module of 4 until the entire battery string has been monitored. To
complete the installation the modules are then interfaced back to the system
controller.
Each module
incorporates a tri-mode LED that is associated with the cell that it is
connected to. The LED will change color according to the present state of health
of the cell. The LED colors are GREEN for
within parameters, ORANGE for measurements
above the minor alarm limit and RED for
exceeding the critical alarm limit.
