DESCRIPTION
PF Live allows the user to manually connect to a
live installation and
instantaneously acquire power factor information. This test can be
performed in less than 5 minutes without any need for an outage, and
at the rated voltage of the apparatus.
PF Live is a cost effective Power Factor test system that consists of
a minimum of three sensors permanently connected
to a series of capacitive bushing taps. The system uses PF Live
software and a PCMCIA data acquisition module to
acquire a user settable number of cycles of power factor data to a
laptop computer (not provided). The system can be
configured to monitor up to 16 devices. Although the system will
acquire, analyze and graph Power factor data,
the PF Live system will also interface to any analog signal from other
devices or IEDs, such as temperature sensors,
current sensors, and DGA (0-10Vdc, 4-20mA, OR 0-1mA). Data acquired by
the PF Live system can be exported to a
customer database for trending, analysis, and storage.
